So if Apple wants mass macOS adoption, they gotta meet us partway. And I know I'm insane for suggesting my laptop is worth that much, but I honestly wouldn't pay all that much for another laptop, with one in hand that does everything I need. Yet, I'd still require $500-600 in trade to trade up to a MacBook Air. Hell, since putting an M.2 SSD in it, it works great. But I wouldn't just toss it and get a MacBook. I would drop Windows in a heartbeat on my laptop if I could get macOS on it. Especially now that they're trying to break into services. I've been saying for fucking years that Apple should port macOS to standard PC architecture and find some way to monetize that. A hard sell if your Windows machine is already good enough. They would have to buy a whole new computer. They don't currently offer a path for Windows users to switch to macOS. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc.
